College Awareness

College Go Get It Week is a week-long event where students engage in college-themed activities that encourage higher education. At the end of the week, students participated in a college pep rally where they performed a class chant. We also had guest speakers to come and talk to the students about college and making good decisions.  Students from Paul Quinn College visited our campus and gave out free Paul Quinn College t-shirts. 

Word from Counselor Johnson:

The purpose of this week is to provide both information and encouragement to all students with regards to post-secondary education. College readiness isn’t about every child attending college. It is a commitment that every student deserves the opportunity to make that choice.
